The Bursary
The La Rocca Bursary Selection Committee will begin accepting Bursary applications in early spring each calendar year. Completed applications must be received on or before the deadline to be considered. Chosen Bursary recipients will be notified in June. Please download the application below for further details.
Criteria
Successful applicants will have demonstrated an ongoing commitment to:
Altruism (selfless acts)
Service (caring for others)
And/or life (the primacy of life; protecting the weak and vulnerable)
To be eligible to receive the La Rocca Bursary, applicants must:
Be between the ages of 15-24 as of the first Monday of May in the application year;
Be a resident, attend school full-time, or actively participate in a community group within the City of Vaughan;
Have not previously received a La Rocca Bursary.
Note: In order for individuals to be considered for the La Rocca Bursary, the individual’s volunteer involvement in the community must be significantly more than the minimum community-service requirements of the Ontario Ministry of Education.
A recipient from each school or community group is not guaranteed; bursaries are awarded based on merit and the completion of all bursary requirements.
